Justice

David endured over ten years of injustice at the hands of Saul. David could have exacted justice himself, but Psalm 35 demonstrates that he relied on God to execute perfect justice. Ultimately, David’s suffering is a shadow of Jesus’ suffering. Jesus was the greater future king that “they hated without cause” (Ps 35:19, see John 15:25).
