2024 Women’s Retreat

Mount Vernon’s Women’s Retreat will be held Thursday-Saturday, April 25-27, 2024, at Lutheranch McKanna-Sandrock Retreat Center. Lord willing, the retreat will be a time for the ladies of Mount Vernon to intentionally slow down and develop deeper relationships as we take a few days away to hear focused teaching from God’s word, sing, pray, fellowship, and have some fun together. This year, we will focus on the theme of “Living a Fruit-Filled Life.” The Christian life is about bearing fruit. Our Savior said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” New Testament authors repeatedly exhort Christians to have fruit-filled lives that distinguish them from the world. In a culture that values youth, physical beauty, and wealth, we want all the women of Mount Vernon to value what God values: spiritual fruit. We hope you can join us as we study this theme and spend time with one another. This event is only for women who are members of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, and we ask that no children are in attendance. The retreat is $241 for two nights (after fees), with meals included, and $120 for one night. Check-in will begin at 3:00pm on Thursday. Dinner will be served at 5:30pm, and the first session will begin at 6:30pm. Late arrivals are welcome.
