What is a Weekender?

Our Weekender is designed to serve pastors, lay leaders, and seminarians through demonstrating the elements of a healthy church. A philosophy of ministry is often better “caught” than “taught.” While church leaders may be drawn to certain biblical principles, they might not know how those principles are implemented or applied in a local church. While all Weekender attendees won’t to agree with or embrace everything at Mount Vernon, we think this event is a good opportunity to show the building blocks for building a healthy church.

Who should attend a Weekender?

The content of the Weekender is oriented toward male elders/pastors and those pursuing vocational, pastoral ministry. Seminarians, aspiring pastors, and motivated church members are welcome observe.

We ask that those registering for the Weekender stay for the entirety of event. Those who plan to leave early might be taking the spot of someone who would get more out of the Weekender.

Standard | $165 (ends February 25)
Late | $180 (ends March 6)
*Processing fees are added at checkout. Registration includes lunches, dinners, and 8–12 books.

Other Details

Lodging

Lodging is not included in registration. Accommodations are available at a nearby hotel or Airbnb. However, we offer host-housing with our church members based on availability. If you’re interested in staying with a member from Mount Vernon, contact Trent Roberts.
